Created by Saaiq Abdulla Saeed (saaiqSAS) and supported by contributors, PurpleKrypt is dedicated to delivering convenient and reliable tools for securing data across multiple platforms. Designed with full offline functionality, it enables local file and text encryption using AES-256-GCM, either with a keyfile or with encryption keys securely derived from a password using Argon2id. PurpleKrypt leverages Java’s standard security libraries for AES-256-GCM encryption and relies on Bouncy Castle for Argon2id-based key derivation. Lightweight, portable, and cross-platform through open-source technologies, PurpleKrypt provides a simple, efficient, and trustworthy way to protect your data wherever you use it.
